  • Students with at least 2+ years of Private Lessons or who have reached an Intermediate level
  • Students in AP Music Theory, College-level Music Theory, or Intermediate Ensembles or General Music Instruction
  • Any Intermediate Musician looking for a fun game with Music Theory

Knowledge Needed to Finish the Game:

• • Ability to read all notes on the Grand Staff, up to 1 ledger line above & below
  • Basic familiarity with standard instruments and their timbres
  • Ability to read most rhythms—Whole, Half, Quarter, Eighth, Sixteenth, & Dotted Notes
  • Ability to solve common puzzle formats—Sudoku & Crossword puzzles
  • Proficient knowledge of Chord Symbols & Roman Numeral analysis (tonal), with clues & guidance
  • Proficiency with key signatures containing up to 3b’s or 3#’s
  • Recommended (but not required): Familiarity with note names on the Piano (a visual is provided)

Number of Players: Can be played individually or in teams (recommended size of 2-4 per team)

Suggested Time Limit: 45-60 Minutes (depending on age level)
