New Music for Silent Film Classics
Featuring 7 Classic Films with new scores by 7 Local Composers.
This exciting Vineyard Touring Opera Company event showcases vintage silent films with new scores performed by full orchestra. These new scores feature local composers including a new score for D.W. Griffith’s 1909 film “Corner in Wheat” written by L. C. Harnsberger who also composed the music for VTO’s upcoming original opera “Golondrina” in May of 2017. Additional film scores by Amy Gordon, Daniel Levin, Jeffrey Elmassian and more. The admission to this gala event includes films, music, silent auction, raffle, refreshments, and more.
